ARACEAE OF ITB JATINANGOR CAMPUS, SUMEDANG, WEST JAVA

Araceae is a group of plants that are consistently dominant in humid and wet conditions areas. This family among the most common plant groups found campus Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) at Jatinangor, which still covered by green However, diversity has not been revealed yet. Therefore, this research was conducted to provide information on ITB Jatinangor Campus. Field exploration carried out during September - November 2021 Jatinangor. As many as 15 genera 22 species have discovered within campus. Taxonomically, they grouped into 3 subfamilies, i.e Aroideae (12 genera), Monsteroideae (2 Pothoideae (1 genus). The largest were Anthurium Philodendron, both cultivated ornamental plants. Several local species, such Alocasia macrorrhizos, Colocasia esculenta, Pistia stratiotes, Typhonium flagelliforme, T. roxburghii also found. Three other escaped from cultivation, namely Caladium bicolor, Dieffenbachia seguine, Syngonium podophyllum had here. part Flora Campus Exploration, project initiated Herbarium Bandungense.
